AMICUS ITS announce new appointments amid record profits

Award winning IT Managed Service Provider, Amicus ITS, is celebrating a record-breaking year as its turnover exceeds £20 million.

On the back of this growth the Southampton based firm, which provides round the clock IT support services, has made two new appointments to its Senior Management Team at their Totton HQ.

Les Keen, Director of Sales, joins from the IT services industry, where he headed up a sales operation providing technical innovation and solutions to the NHS. Alan Meldrum, Finance Manager, joins from the financial services industry, with 11 years at KPMG and extensive accountancy experience in industries including IT and retail.

Managing Director, Steve Jackson, said: “As we emerge from a long recessionary period, Amicus ITS has enjoyed a record financial year and, over the past 12 months, grown its team by an impressive 26%.

“Our continued success can largely be attributed to the innovative IT solutions we provide our clients. This has not only aided our significant growth, but has also resulted in Amicus ITS being ranked as the No.1 IT Managed Service Provider in the UK and 13th in the World.

“2014 has the potential to be a very interesting year for IT Managed Services.  The industry has always been fast moving, however, SMEs’ needs are changing rapidly with workforces becoming ever more mobile. Issues like data storage, monitoring and security form increasingly greater challenges for management.  Fortunately with our accreditations and a truly 24x365 UK Service Desk we are always on hand to look after our many loyal customers.”

Amicus is currently recruiting for a number of other key IT client related appointments in addition to its ongoing apprenticeship programme, which encourages and mentors those people looking to enter the IT industry.

Amicus ITS provides a range of IT services, from telephone support through to virtual desktop and cloud based IT solutions for its clients, which include Axa, Volvo, Estee Lauder, Ageas and Southampton NHS Foundation Trust.
